Hospital Response
InterAct provides volunteers and staff who are able to respond to clients who have been taken to area hospitals as a result of injuries at the hands of an abuser. If you require assistance please contact the 24 hour crisis lines.
Solace Center
In July 1998 InterAct and WakeMed partnered to open the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) Center at WakeMed’s New Bern Avenue, Raleigh location.
Now re-designed as the first community–based forensic examination center in North Carolina, the Solace Center is located within InterAct’s Family Safety and Empowerment Center at 1012 Oberlin Road in Raleigh. InterAct’s Solace Center provides safe, comfortable and confidential services for rape/sexual assault survivors 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The center was created to improve overall services for rape/sexual assault survivors - evidence collection, crisis intervention and collaboration. It will serve as a resource to hospitals throughout Wake County.
